The company has recently begun offering fiber-optic connections in the state of Texas. However, that service is available in only a few towns. We'll have to wait and see if Rise starts growing a significant fiber-optic footprint.

While we never recommend wireless ISPs as a first option, Rise Broadband does make a solid choice for internet in under-served rural areas. Their fast speeds are comparable to DSL, cable, fiber and satellite.
